Digital business cards for estate and letting agents

Digital business cards for estate and letting agents — Online Business Cards

Valuations, viewings and window displays: how estate and letting agents can use one link with their details, listings and booking calendar.

Estate agency runs on introductions. You meet vendors at valuations, buyers at viewings, landlords, tenants, solicitors and other agents — often several in a day, often on the doorstep or by phone. The person you met at a viewing on Saturday may not be ready to sell for a year. When they are, they need to find you, not the agent whose board they walked past last.

A digital business card is one web page with your details, your current listings and an easy way to get in touch, shared by link or QR code. This guide covers how estate and letting agents can use one well.

Why paper cards struggle in property

  • They get lost. A card handed over at a viewing goes home in a coat pocket with the brochure, and both end up in the recycling.
  • They go out of date. Agents move branches, change roles and change firms. Every move makes a box of cards useless, and every card already given out points to the wrong place.
  • They cannot show property. A card can say you sell homes. It cannot show the homes.

A digital card solves all three. It cannot run out, you update it once and the same link shows the new details, and it can hold photos, links and documents.

What to put on an estate agent's digital card

At the top

  • A clear, friendly photo. People are choosing someone to trust with their biggest asset. A professional head-and-shoulders photo works better than a logo here.
  • Your name, role and branch, for example "Sales Valuer, Clifton branch".
  • A one-line description of what you do and where: "Selling family homes in north Bristol since 2015."
  • Tap-to-call, email and WhatsApp buttons. Many vendors and buyers prefer a quick message to a phone call.

Further down

  • Links to your current listings on your firm's website or the property portals you use.
  • A gallery of recent sales or lets, if your firm is happy for you to show them.
  • Documents such as a guide for sellers, a fee schedule or a landlord information pack, as PDFs.
  • Client testimonials you have permission to use.
  • The professional details your firm normally shows, such as your redress scheme or professional body membership.

Where to use it day to day

At valuations

Valuations are where long-term relationships start. Before you leave, send your card by WhatsApp or text so it is in the vendor's phone, not on their kitchen table. Follow up with your valuation in writing and your card link underneath.

At viewings and open houses

Show your QR code from your phone wallet for buyers to scan, or include it on any viewing material you already print. Buyers who are not right for this property today may be right for the next one — and some of them will have a home to sell.

On listings and window displays

Many agents already print QR codes on window cards and brochures. Pointing one at your personal card, rather than a generic page, gives people a name and a face to contact. Keep it large enough to scan from a pavement; our QR code size and placement guide has sizes and distances.

In every email

Put your card link in your email signature so every update to vendors, buyers and solicitors is also a reminder of how to reach you.

Turning interest into appointments

The Business Plan adds features that suit agents particularly well:

  • Bookings, so a vendor can choose a valuation slot or a buyer can request a viewing time without phone tag.
  • Enquiry and lead forms, so people can leave their details and what they are looking for.
  • A CRM and contact leads, keeping everyone who gets in touch through your card in one place, with notes.
  • Get reviews, pointing happy clients to where you collect reviews.
  • A card scanner, turning paper cards you are given into saved contacts.
  • Export, so you can move leads into your firm's own systems.

If you collect people's details through your card, be clear about why and what you will do with them, and follow your firm's data protection policy. Our guide to collecting leads and UK GDPR explains the basics in plain English.

When you move branch or firm

This is where digital cards make the biggest difference. Update your role, branch and links on your card and everyone who has it sees the change. Before you move firm, check what your contract and your current firm's policies say about client contact details and listings, and only show what you are entitled to.

Cards for a whole branch

If several people in a branch have cards, use the same template, logo and colours for everyone so the office looks consistent. Each person needs their own profile. Every card on this site is a one-off payment: Brand Presence at £45 or the Business Plan at £90, with no subscription. If you are ordering for a team, contact us first.

Who you meet, and what they need from your card

Who you meet | What they need | Card feature

Vendor at a valuation | Your track record and fees guide | Documents, testimonials

Buyer at a viewing | Your direct line, other listings | Details, links

Landlord | Letting services and fees | Documents, enquiry form (Business Plan)

Solicitor or other agent | Quick, correct contact details | Save to contacts

As a mini-website for a local business

Estate agency is local by nature. Your card can work as a small page for your patch: the areas you cover, your branch hours, reviews you are allowed to show and a valuation request form, all on a link you can add to your Google profile and email signature.

Frequently asked questions

Can I link to my listings on property portals?

Yes. Add links to your listings or your agent page on the portals and website your firm uses. Because you can edit your card at any time, you can keep those links current as properties sell.

Will buyers need an app to open my card?

No. Your card opens in their phone's normal browser from a link or QR code, and they can save your details to their contacts in one tap.

What happens to my card if I change firms?

You can update your details, photo and links so the same card reflects your new role. Check your contract and firm's policies about client data and listings before you move.

Which plan suits an estate agent?

If you mainly want people to save your details and see your listings, Brand Presence covers that. If you want vendors and buyers to book appointments and leave enquiries through your card, the Business Plan adds bookings, forms and a CRM. You can compare both plans, or read how the online business card works.

Can a branch give every agent the same card design?

Yes. Use one template, logo and set of branch links, and let each agent add their own photo, direct number and areas.
